After completing my apprenticeship as a Carpenter and Joiner in 1975, I then started my own company working on commerical, industrial and domestic projects in the Melbourne CBD and country Victoria.
In 1992 I was given the opportunity to work overseas in Thailand and Vietnam on high rise buildings and sub-structures for elevated expressways:
These works included very large excavations, braceframes supports for diaphragm and sheetpile walls.

Returning to Sydney in 1999 until 2002 I worked on the M5 expressway extension, areas of works cut and covers, shafts and interchange construction
In 2002 I went back overseas to Ethiopia, England, Ireland and China to manage the following on various projects:
procurement,
design and buildablity,
construction and commissioning of pharmaceutical and computer cleanrooms facilities.
